Online Emotional Freedom Technique Sessions
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
A different way to work with the things that keep getting triggered
Sometimes you understand a pattern perfectly well.
You know why you react the way you do. You know where it probably came from. You may have talked about it, journalled about it, worked on it and become incredibly self-aware around it.
And yet, when something pushes the right button, there it is again.
Emotional Freedom Techniques — usually known simply as EFT or tapping — offers another way of working with those responses.
Rather than only talking about what is happening, EFT combines focused attention on a particular emotion, memory, thought, belief or physical sensation with gentle tapping on a sequence of points on the face and upper body.
Sometimes awareness only creates more awareness
There’s a point where understanding something and actually changing your response to it become two different things.
You might know you’re people-pleasing while you’re saying yes.
Know you’re overthinking while you’re lying awake going over the same conversation for the fifteenth time.
Know the fear is disproportionate while your body is reacting as though it isn’t.
Or know an old experience is over, while something in you still responds as though it’s happening now.
That doesn’t make all the work you’ve already done pointless. Far from it.
It simply means there may be another part of the response worth working with.
What Can EFT Assist With?
People use EFT to explore a broad range of emotional and behavioural concerns, including:
- stress and overwhelm
- fears and phobias
- anxiety and worry
- difficult or persistent emotions
- upsetting memories
- confidence and self-doubt
- procrastination and feeling stuck
- people-pleasing
- difficulty setting boundaries
- emotional triggers
- recurring patterns
- performance anxiety
- habits and behaviours they’d like to change
Sometimes the starting point is much simpler:
“Every time this happens, I react like this — and I don’t want to anymore.”
That’s enough to begin with.
EFT isn’t a guaranteed treatment or a replacement for appropriate medical or psychological care. Every person and every issue is different, and individual outcomes vary.
So, what exactly is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, although you’ll often hear it simply called tapping.
It combines elements of psychological intervention with gentle, rhythmic tapping on a sequence of points traditionally associated with acupuncture and acupressure.
There are no needles involved.
During a session, we start with something specific that you’d like to work with.
It could be a feeling, a recent situation, a fear, a memory, something somebody said, a belief about yourself or even a physical sensation that appears when you think about the issue.
Rather than trying to analyse everything at once, we pay attention to what’s happening right now when you connect with it.
Then we tap.
We usually begin by giving the intensity of the response a simple rating. After a round of tapping, we stop and check again.
What’s changed?
Is the feeling stronger or weaker?
Has it moved?
Has another emotion appeared?
Has a thought or memory suddenly popped into your mind?
That response gives us information about where to go next.
And we follow it from there.
EFT isn’t passive.
Nothing is done to you.
You’re awake, aware and involved throughout the process.
I’ll guide the tapping and ask questions — while we work with whatever thoughts, emotions or physical responses emerge.
You don’t need to know why you feel the way you do.
We can start with what happens when you do.
What This Work Requires
- Willingness to focus on what you’re feeling
- Openness to whatever comes up as we tap
- Active participation in the process
You don’t need to have the answers.
We follow what shows up.
Why tapping?
This is an area that continues to be researched, and there are different theories about exactly why EFT can be effective.
What we do know is that EFT brings several processes together.
You’re focusing on something meaningful rather than avoiding it. You’re noticing what happens emotionally and physically. You’re putting aspects of the experience into words. You’re introducing different perspectives. And you’re tapping while that material is active.
So we’re not simply sitting there trying to convince you that you shouldn’t feel the way you do.
We’re working with the response while it’s actually happening.
For some people, that creates an opportunity for the emotional intensity around an experience to change — sometimes quite significantly.
And sometimes what emerges isn’t what you expected at all.
$30 EFT Accreditation Sessions
I’ve completed Level 1 and Level 2 EFT training and am now an EFT International Student Member, completing the practical, case-study and assessment requirements toward becoming an EFT International Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner.
That means I need people to tap with.
So, for a limited period, I’m offering suitable clients EFT sessions for $30 while I complete those requirements.
These aren’t demonstration sessions or group practice exercises. They’re genuine one-to-one EFT sessions where we’ll work with something you’d genuinely like to address.
The substantially reduced fee simply reflects the fact that I’m still completing my formal accreditation requirements and that suitable sessions may contribute towards that process.
There’s some important fine print
As these sessions contribute to my EFT accreditation, I’ll invite you to have your session recorded for assessment by my EFT mentor. We’ll discuss this with you beforehand and obtain your consent.
A session may also be used as the basis of a written case study for my accreditation. Any case study will be anonymised, with identifying information removed or changed so that you cannot reasonably be identified.
Clarity Call
A quick ten minute Zoom conversation to understand what’s happening, what you want to change, and whether tapping is the right fit. This sets the direction for any further work.
Free
Accreditation Session (Max two per person)
A 50–60 minute session allowing time to understand what you’d like to work with, use EFT at depth, and follow what emerges during the tapping process.

FAQs
A few practical answers — so you can decide without overthinking it.
What actually happens in an EFT session?
We start by identifying something specific you’d like to work with. You’ll usually rate its intensity, and I’ll then guide you through tapping on a sequence of points while we focus on different aspects of the issue.
We stop regularly to notice what’s changed and use that information to determine where we go next.
Do I need to know how to tap?
No. I’ll show you where to tap and guide you through the process.
Do I have to tell you everything?
No. We need enough information to work effectively, but you remain in control of what you disclose. EFT can often be used without going into every detail of an experience.
Will my session be recorded?
You will be invited to have your session recorded as part of my practical training and assessment process. Some recordings may be reviewed by my EFT mentor. You’ll receive full information about recording, confidentiality and how the recording may be used before providing consent and booking your session.
Will I become a case study?
Some sessions may be used for written accreditation case studies.
Any written case study will be anonymised, with identifying information removed or changed so that you cannot reasonably be identified.
Why is the session only $30?
Because I’m currently completing my EFT accreditation requirements.
The reduced fee reflects the fact that these sessions contribute to my supervised practice, assessment, and case-study requirements.
Is everyone eligible for a $30 session?
No. I need particular types of sessions to meet my accreditation requirements, and the issue also needs to be appropriate for my current EFT training.
We’ll discuss what you’d like to work on before confirming a session.
